The Silver Maple Bindery

After many successful and happy years at their present location in Northampton, Bill & Elaine Streeter have decided to relocate the bindery for the next chapter of their lives. As of December 1, 2004, our bindery will be moving 20 miles north to Greenfield, MA. All of the associates will still be working together…we wouldn't have it any other way. We will still have the same high quality and great customer service. The location may be changing, but we hope that you will continue to call on us to help you with your binding needs.

At the Silver Maple Bindery, we specialize in restoration work on a wide variety of cloth, leather, and paper-bound books, as well as custom binding and design work for items such as drop-spine (clamshell) boxes, folders, slipcases, albums, dissertations, and one-of-a-kind books. Our work is carefully handcrafted, using archival-quality materials, to assure sound structure and good function over time. In restoration work, it is our policy to save as much of the original binding as possible, and to match any repairs to the period detail of the book.
